Public (open) courses

Public courses, featured in Courses Plus app, are open-access learning modules. These courses provide users with an opportunity to explore course content before making a purchase, serving as a form of informative advertisement. In public course type students can see course content without enrolling, signing up and logging in.

To create a public course, follow these steps:

Go to Shopify admin, open Courses Plus app, click Create course button

Choose how to create your course: manually or with AI

Add course title and description. Click Next

Select the appropriate pricing type Open. Click Create course button

Please note: in public courses admin cannot view course progress and quiz results because a student may not be logged in (when viewing public course).

In My Courses menu, you can view open courses you've created

Students will be able to view public courses on your site without logging in. To make this easy to access, we recommend adding a Public courses menu item.
