IP protection in courses

IP protection is a security feature in Courses Plus that helps prevent account sharing, infringement, and misuse. This ensures that student accounts are used fairly and as intended.

How it works

When enabled, IP protection limits the number of unique IP addresses a student can use within their account.
If a student exceeds the allowed number of IP addresses, the administrator will receive a notification via email.
The default limit is set to 15 IP addresses per student, considering that some internet providers frequently change IP addresses.



How to enable IP protection

Navigate to Courses Plus app in Shopify.
Go to Settings > IP protection.
Check the box for Allow IP protection.
Adjust allowed number of IP addresses if necessary.
Click Save to apply the changes.

Best Practices

Keep the limit at 15 or higher to accommodate dynamic IP changes.
Monitor notifications for potential account misuse.
Adjust the settings based on student access needs.
