Course trial (pre-purchase preview)

Providing a course trial allows potential students to evaluate the content, teaching style, and relevance before committing financially, which reduces uncertainty and builds trust. It also helps ensure the course meets their expectations and learning goals, leading to higher satisfaction and more confident purchase decisions.

To set up Trial period for a first section of a course, you can visit Trials section of a course setup:

From this tab you can:

  • enable or disable trial mode;
  • copy trial link to share it with a student manually;
  • enable timeout for trial mode, so student can only view the first section for limited amount of time.

When timeout is enabled and student's trial period ends, they will see a popup with a purchase button:

Student can not re-access the course again by re-using the same link or reloading the page. Student is also unable to mark lessons as completed in a preview mode.
