Connected courses (for product variants)

Connected courses – useful when you'd like to have several courses as variants of one product.

For example, you have one product Yoga course with 3 variants (each of variants is a separate course with own price): Basic level, Middle level, Advanced level.

To implement this approach, let's create a new Shopify product using our Shopify Admin ➜ Products ➜ Add product

Scroll down and unselect "This is a physical product". Then click + Add options like size or color to create course variants:

Let's add new Option name: Level and 3 options under it: Basic, Middle, Advanced:

We can also set different prices and images for each variant if needed. Let's check our product page now:

t shows 3 options: Basic, Middle and Advanced. Price will be switched automatically if customer changes their Level choice.

Great, let's connect courses to each Level we created. To do that, let's go to Shopify Admin ➜ Apps ➜ Courses Plus ➜ My Courses and click Create course

Let's set a name and description for our first variant: Basic level course:

Let's click Next and when choosing our course type let's scroll down to Connected course. Let's select what this course should be connected to:

From there, let's choose Basic variant:

All right. Let's confirm our choice and finish our course creation process.

Now our Connected course is created and connected to Yoga Masterclass product's Basic level variant. We can work on creating content for Basic level now.

We can also repeat the same steps to create courses for Middle level variant and for Advanced level variant.
