Retrying a billing attempt for a student's subscription

When a student's subscription payment is declined due to issues like an expired card or insufficient funds, the system will automatically notify you about a failed billing attempt for a specific student (to your store's admin email).


The email will specify the reason of failed billing attempt and will recommend you to reach out to the student to help them in resolving their billing issue. Once student taken actions, you can retry a payment attempt, reducing subscription cancellations and improving revenue retention.


Retrying a billing attempt from the admin is possible during 3 days since billing failed for a student. If you need us to retry an older billing attempt, please contact our support team


  1. Navigate to the Subscriptions admin page;
  2. Select a subscription or find a customer with failed billing attempt;
  3. In subscription details check Timeline section and click Retry payment next to Failed billing attempt:
