How to embed a video into a lesson / course from Vimeo

Courses Plus lets you add any Vimeo video to a lesson in a couple of minutes — no downloads or re-uploads needed:


  • Embed code — copy it right from your Vimeo library with ⋮ → Copy embed code.
  • Insert/Edit Media — paste the code into the lesson editor, and the video appears right in the lesson.
  • Built-in player — students watch the video inside the lesson on your store.


In this article:




Open the lesson


  1. In your Shopify admin, open Courses Plus → My courses and click the course that contains the lesson.



  1. Click ⋯ next to the lesson where you want to add the video and select Edit lesson.



Copy the embed code from Vimeo


  1. Open your Library on Vimeo and find the video you want to add.
  2. Click ⋮ on the video and select Copy embed code.



Add the video to the lesson


  1. Go back to the lesson editor, place the cursor where the video should appear and click the Insert/edit media icon on the toolbar.



  1. In Insert/Edit Media, open the Embed tab, paste the code into Paste your embed code below and click Save.



  1. The video appears in the editor. Click Save at the top of the page to save the lesson.



  1. Open the lesson in your store — students can now watch the video right inside the lesson.


Please note: videos embedded from Vimeo aren't covered by Courses Plus video privacy options, so they can also be watched outside your store — for example, directly on Vimeo.


That's it — your Vimeo video is now part of the lesson, and students can watch it without leaving your course. The same steps work for any lesson in any course. If you have any questions, we're always happy to help.
