Getting started with Mega Community app
Mega Community lets you build your own online community right inside your Shopify store:
- Communities — create public or paid, members-only communities for your customers.
- Posts and comments — members share topics, posts and comments, with moderation tools for you.
- Dashboard — create communities, track activity and follow setup tips in one place.
In this article:
Install the app
- Open the Mega Community page in the Shopify App Store and click Install. If the app is already installed, the button reads Open.
Get to know the dashboard
After installation, the app opens on its Dashboard. From here you can create communities, see how many communities, posts and comments you have, check your current plan, and find setup tips and recommended apps.
- Click Create community to set up a new community.
- Expand Optimize your store for communities to see the setup tasks we recommend.
Optimize your store for communities
We recommend completing the optimization tasks so customers can easily find and open their communities:
- Adding menu item for communities
- My communities link in order confirmation email
- Order status page and Thank you page helpers
