# Sending Courses Plus emails from own email address (SMTP)

In Courses Plus Shopify app there are a lot of email notifications of various kinds:
* when student receives a certificate after finishing the course;
* admin notifications (reports, guides and recommendations, plan information);
* [Zoom lessons](/en/article/notifications-for-students-about-changes-in-live-lessons-zoom-meetings-webinars-how3xv/) related notifications;
* student invites to attend a course;
* reports to [managers](/en/article/course-managers-employees-team-enrollments-lizuy6/);
* and many other.

By default, all emails are sent by our app via: Architechpro Team <noreply@architechpro.cc>

If you want to change sender name and email, you are able to do that using SMTP settings:

1. Open app's **settings** → **General** tab:

2. **Scroll down** till the very bottom of the page. There you'll find **SMTP settings** block. Fill all the fields with SMTP provider's information and **Save** the changes:

If you don't have own SMTP server set up, you can reach to your existing domain provider, or use SMTP services, such as **MailGun**, **Postmark**, **Amazon SES**, [SMTP2GO](https://get.smtp2go.com/4b4vo9bijxoq).
> Regarding **Gmail**: To set up SMTP with Google Workspace you'll need to create a so-called App password. Please check the documentation here: [https://support.google.com/mail/?p=InvalidSecondFactor](https://support.google.com/mail/?p=InvalidSecondFactor) – instead of your Gmail password, please use the app password in SMTP settings, and this setup will work.

We recommend [SMTP2GO](https://get.smtp2go.com/4b4vo9bijxoq) as user-friendly service with free tier and predictable pricing.

Once you have your SMTP set up with your provider, ask them for your:
* Host
* Port
* Username
* Password
* Encryption (TLS / SSL / STARTTLS / no encryption)

And specify desired From email and From name that will appear for your admins, managers and students.
