# Public (open) courses

**Public courses**, featured in **Courses Plus** app, are open-access learning modules. These courses provide users with an opportunity to explore course content before making a purchase, serving as a form of informative advertisement. In public course type students can see course content without enrolling, signing up and logging in.

To create a public course, follow these steps:

1. Go to Shopify admin, open Courses Plus app, click **Create course** button

2. Choose how to create your course: manually or with AI

3. Add course title and description. Click **Next**

4. Select the appropriate pricing type **Open**. Click **Create course** button

| Please note: in public courses admin cannot view course progress and quiz results because a student may not be logged in (when viewing public course).

In My Courses menu, you can view open courses you've created
