# Ordering quiz type

**Ordering quiz type** allows to create questions that require students to arrange items in a specific sequence. This format is ideal for testing their understanding of processes, timelines, or hierarchies. By arranging items correctly, students demonstrate their comprehension of the material's logical flow and structure.

Additionally, ordering quizzes reinforce learning by requiring students to recall and apply their knowledge, ensuring they grasp the correct order of concepts or events. Immediate feedback helps students learn from mistakes and solidify their understanding.

To create **ordering** quiz question:

1. Open **Courses Plus** app, find **My courses** tab or button. Go to the list of courses, select the one you need or create a new one

2. In course editor, click on **Add quiz**

3. Fill in quiz fields - name,  select type of question - **Ordering**. Then add statements in correct order (students will see them shuffled).
You can also add explanations to answers. Once filled in, click **Save** button

4. By clicking on **Actions > Settings** button you can change quiz settings: % of correct answers for passing, button text, customer tag after quiz completion, mixing question, etc
