# How to add subscription payment option to your course

Courses Plus app provides subscription payments functionality on Professional and Enterprise plans. You can check your store's subscription eligibility according to [Shopify documentation here](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/purchase-options/subscriptions/setup#eligibility-requirements).

1. Open the **Products** page → Select the needed course product

2. Scroll down to the **Purchase options** block → Click **Subscriptions** → **Create new**

3. **Set up a subscription plan**

* **Plan title:** Enter a title and optional name (e.g., 1 Month)
* **Billing:** Set how often customers are charged (e.g., every 1 month)
* **Billing options:** Enable first payment on creation or change price after first payment (optional)
* **Pricing:** Select pricing type and enter the price
* **Duration:** Set max number of payments (unlimited or fixed)
* **Access rules:** Disable access after expiration or on billing failure (optional)
* **Save:** Apply the subscription plan

4. The only thing left is to add a subscription block to your product page. Go to the **Themes** tab and press **Edit theme**

5. Click **Home page** bar at the top and select **Products** → **Default product**. In the **Product information** click **Add block** and select **Courses + Subscriptions**

6. The subscription block will appear beside your product, and you'll be able to change its position by dragging and dropping the block

7. Configure Courses + Subscriptions block

* **Block header text:** Title of the purchase section
* **Single charge text:** Label for one-time purchase
* **Subscriptions label text:** Label for subscription plans
* **Show subscription options block:** Toggle subscription plans display
* **Sorting:** Order of subscription plans
