# Course completion page and recommended courses

| The course completion page appears automatically once a student finishes a course. It confirms the completion and immediately displays recommended courses, creating a smooth transition to the next learning step. You can either select specific recommended courses or enable the automatic display of similar courses as recommendations.

This feature helps you naturally **upsell digital products**: students see new relevant courses at the moment when they are most engaged. Recommended courses include the title, short description, course type (free/paid), and a quick action button to continue learning. You can add recommended courses to the [Public](https://help.courses-plus.com/en/article/public-open-courses-17a1jqc/) or [Private](https://help.courses-plus.com/en/article/private-courses-4yh35f/) courses as well.

By guiding students to their next course instantly, you:

* increase conversions
* boost repeat enrollments
* raise customer lifetime value
* improve overall content discovery

### How to set recommended courses on the Course completion page
To choose which courses will be shown as **recommended** after a student finishes a course, follow these steps:

1. **Open your Shopify admin** and go to the **Courses** app and select the course you want to edit. The following path is the same for either regular, open or private courses.

2. In the right-hand menu, click **Course completion page. Scroll down to the Recommended courses** section. In the field *“Start entering recommended course name”*, begin typing the name of course and select it from the list. You can choose **up to 3 courses** to display as recommendations. Once done, click **Save** button. 

|| (Optional) Customize the Title and Message that will appear above the recommended courses on the student’s completion page.

Open app's **Settings** → **My Courses** → Scroll down and enable **Automatically show recommended courses**

Students will now see the recommended courses immediately after completing this course.
