# Add a Zapier chatbot to your Shopify store

| You can easily add a Zapier chatbot to your Shopify store in three steps:

* **AI chatbot without code** — create a chatbot in Zapier Chatbots from scratch in a few clicks.
* **Pop-up chat** — the chatbot appears as a floating widget in the bottom corner of every page of your store.
* **Two lines of code** — copy the embed script from Zapier and paste it into your theme, no extra apps needed.

## Create a chatbot in Zapier

1. Go to the [Zapier Chatbots](https://zapier.com/app/assets/chatbots) page and click **Create** in the top-right corner.

2. Select **Create from scratch**, enter the chatbot's **Name** and click **Create**.

## Copy the embed code

1. You'll land on the chatbot's settings. Click **Share** in the top-right corner.
2. Open the **Embed** tab, select **Pop-up** and click the copy icon in **Code snippet** to copy the script.

|| Please note: embedding a chatbot on a website is a Zapier Pro feature. On the free trial it's available for 14 days.

## Add the code to your Shopify theme

1. In your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store** and find the theme you want to add the chatbot to. If needed, click **⋯ → Duplicate** first to test the changes on an unpublished copy of the theme.
2. Next to the theme, click **⋯ → Edit code**.

3. In the **layout** folder, open **theme.liquid**. Scroll to the end of the file and paste both lines of the script right before the closing `</body>` tag. Click **Save**.

4. Open your store — the chatbot now appears as a pop-up in the bottom-right corner of every page.

That's it — your customers can now chat with your Zapier chatbot right in your Shopify store. If you tested the changes on a copy of your theme, publish it when you're happy with the result. If you have any questions, we're always happy to help.
